Falling, falling, falling. I was enveloped in a pitch black void, and I could feel myself falling. Actually, the sensation was more of feeling being pulled downward by an unseen force.
While endlessly falling, I had anxiety about the amount of time that was being lost. Hopeless and alone in the pitch black void, I was tired of existing. Would this ever fucking end?
After what felt like literal years, a faint grey light began to envelop me. Before I knew it, I was suddenly falling through a dense fog, and I could feel the moisture hitting my face as I fell.
The light continued to grow brighter as I fell, and the mist gave way to dense rainclouds. As I continued to fall, the velocity slowed and now I felt like I was floating downward like a feather on the wind.
Suddenly, I broke through the clouds, floating downward, and it was raining heavily. Beneath me, I could finally see the ground approaching me.
I gently floated down onto the top of a muddy hill. I managed to stand up and look around, seeing that I was now in a desolate and barren wasteland of muddy rolling hills with sparse dead trees. It was gloomy and raining, and I felt heavy, as if an unseen force was acting upon me, pulling me along through the mud.
Feeling exhausted, I struggled to stand and move forward as I felt unnaturally heavy. The unseen force seemed to pull, or perhaps push, me in one direction that I didn't particularly care to go. Tired, I decided to go with the flow of the force, so I might have a better chance at survival.
The rain never let up, and as I was pulled through the muddy, dreary realm, I pushed on anyway, determined to get to some sort of destination.
As I wandered through the empty and forlorn landscape of all muddy rolling hills, I began to notice sparse abandoned and derelict houses, randomly and sparsely scattered around. The homes appeared to have been crushed, perhaps by the gravity of this place. The homes were randomly colored, the paint peeling and fading. The homes were all empty, and some had trash scattered around them. Others had broken playground sets, such as swings, slides, and other outdoor toys, all of which were rusting away and broken.
The rolling hills flattened out into an endless plateau of mud. The broken homes became much more densely packed together, as if they were converging and crashing into each other.
Were these the broken hopes and dreams of those who had only wanted to build a home? That is what this place felt like to me. There were crushed, abandoned, and broken dream homes everywhere I looked. However, I did also see a rainbow that shouldn't exist, as there was no direct sunlight here. The rainbow felt more like a mockery, giving a sense of false hope that a brighter tomorrow full of love and memory-making with the right people would ever actually manifest.

I stopped to peer into the windows of some of the homes, and their interiors looked just as neglected as their exteriors. They were all full of trash and debris, their memories and dreams now dead and disrespected. On the walls, there were clocks ticking away, and I was reminded of all the time and opportunity that was passing me by as I remained trapped and lost and forsaken in this hellhole.
Just as I was growing increasingly fucking DONE with this place, this gloomy world grew even more nightmarish and hopeless. Now, the broken and crushed homes had dead cats and dogs all over, and there was blood oozing from the cracks in the walls and roofs. The constant rain caused the blood to flow in streams, all leading in one direction.
I didn't want to be here anymore, nor had I been since I had arrived here.
My melancholic mood was perpetual, and it grew deeper and heavier as I continued to feel dragged through the bloodied mud. I was fed up with this massacre of memories, made to move through a world of madness and mayhem.
Finally... I came to the end of all dreams.
There before me was a great pit, bottomless and leading into a black void. The blood of the broken dream homes flowed over the sheer edge, and the labyrinth of crushed dreams seemed to be inching forward, falling to their demise into this soulless pit. There were two rainbows that seemed to be getting sucked in, yet again giving a sense of false hope that a colorful and hopeful future was promised.
Too tired to go on and too tired to try to escape, I was ready to end things. I fell to my knees, arms outstretched, and I allowed myself to tumble into the terror of the pitch black abyss.
Falling, falling, falling, I became enveloped in a pitch black void. After what felt like years of falling, a faint light grew around me and I was now falling through a shrouded mist. Again.
THE END.
