Gems of the Glen

Sitting alone in a vast open meadow, I was lost and clueless as to what direction I should go. Behind me on the horizon, there were black clouds and smoke and fire and destruction and chaos. In front of me, the skies were clear, with a rugged mountain range in the distance.

I looked to the West, and saw two suns illuminating the world, one of which was smaller than the other. On the plains in the distance, I saw a herd of wild horses running wild toward me. The scene before me was majestic - mountains on the right and hundreds of magical-maned horses on the left.

The horse herd approached and hoovered around me, keeping a distance. Then, I beheld a pure white horse and seated upon it was a pure white, blue-eyed cat, and her name was Alexzandria, the Defender of the happiness and cheer of all Mankind, and she shone with the two suns behind her.

All I wanted to do was to pet the horse-riding kitty. Staring with intensity at me, I knew she wanted me to follow her. She galloped off toward the mountain range, and I jumped on a smoky gray horse, in hot pursuit.

Staying well ahead of me, I struggled to keep up with her. We came to a stream that flowed down from the mountains, and we followed it up until we came to a glen. On either side of it were sheer cliffs that were hundreds of feet high, marbled with grey and turquoise rock. There were mouths of caves scattered all throughout the winding valley walls.

We came to a cliff that had a cave opening a hundred or so feet above us. The pure white kitty jumped off her horse and onto the cliff wall, clinging to it like a spider. Spider-cat gracefully climbed up the cliff, making it seem effortless. Determined to pet the kitty, I climbed off my high horse, and clumsily scaled the nearly vertical cliff wall.

Spider-cat disappeared into the cave opening, and a few moments later, I pulled myself up and into the cave. The cave was wide, but there was barely enough room to stand fully upright. The rock was mostly turquoise in color, and I saw that there were various gold artifacts and gemstones embedded in the rock. The cave was a treasure-trove of wealth and riches.

The pure cat was nowhere to be found. On a golden boulder in the center of the cave was a young barefoot brunette woman dressed in a pure white short silk dress, and she seemed to resemble a fairy. In the low light, I couldn't quite see her face, so I got closer. She seemed timid and unsure of my intentions, so she shied away deeper into the cave.

My eyes now having adjusted to the low light, I could see that this was Mackenzie Foy. I began asking questions about herself. She warmed up after a while, and we began talking about horses and geology. I told her about my rock collection that I had as a kid.

After getting comfortable with each other, I felt a connection with her. We laid down on the floor of the cave, staring at the ceiling. She told me about her passion for horses, and I explained that I had followed a horse-riding cat up to this cave. Mackenzie marveled at that, and we kissed in the cave, and I found solace in her soothing presence.

Still laying on the ground, I could see a golden spoon embedded in the rock. Mackenzie helped me chisel away at the rock, freeing the spoon. On the spoon's handle was engraved the name "Reese". I pocketed the spoon, and began picking away at other embedded golden objects and gems, with Mackenzie helping.

After a while, we had accumulated a pile of valuable treasure. Unsure of how we were going to get it all out of the cave, Mackenzie and I started putting what we could fit into our pockets.

Just then, the pure white cat emerged from a small hole carrying a couple large backpacks. We filled the backpacks with what we could carry, and scaled down the cliff to the valley floor. The two horses were still there, waiting by the stream.

This was an opportunity for me to finally pet the kitty. As I stroked the pure white cat, she arched her back, stimulated. Pursing my lips, I said "WHO'S A GOOD KITTY!". I said it so loud, that it echoed throughout the glen. A moment later, I heard a thunderous rumbling, and I saw an avalanche of pure white snow crashing down into the valley.

We jumped on the horses and fled before the wild blast of snow. Narrowly escaping the destruction I had inadvertently caused, we rode across the open fields and joined the wild herd where we explored vast green pastures.

Then I woke up. THE END.
