The chaotic noise of hammers and saws was becoming too much for me as I sat alone in my office. Chambeau 137 was undergoing renovations, and I wanted to escape into the extradimensional space so I could be in my own world of exploration and wonder.
The narrow passage that led into the extradimensional space had been widened from two feet to five feet wide, making it easier for Katherine and Rebekah to transfer items interdimensionally.
Although the passage entrance was on the second floor in our reality, it ended up on the first floor foyer in the extradimensional space. Here, the floor was level 0, and there was no exit to an outside space. There was only an elevator and a spiral staircase that led up and down.
I had only explored a handful of floors, mostly upward, which were of positive values, going up to 137. The basement levels were negative values, going down to -137. I wanted to see what the two extreme ends of the floors were like.
First, I decided that I would descend to the bowels. I knew that the basement levels had negative energies to them, to varying degrees. I had encountered a psychotic and paranoid energy on -40, so I would avoid that one.
I went down the spiral staircase to basement level -3. I went through the door and found that the level was blue. The empty offices all had blue walls with a white grid pattern. The ceiling was white, and the floor had white tiles with a blue grid pattern. The whole floor felt like a blank 3-D blueprint. The energy vibes felt mostly melancholic, as if I had become saddened by the fact that there were no plans being made and time was withering away. I decided I would return some other time to explore this level further.
I exited the floor and continued my downward spiral toward the bottom. Instead of using the elevator, I was descending 137 levels into the bowels of Chambeau 137, and this would wear me out.
Descending deeper into the negative levels, I became increasingly agitated the deeper I spiraled.
Eventually, I ended up on basement level -85. Curious about what was on this level, I opened the door and found that I was in a blood red office. The empty offices on this level were all blood red, with dark grey carpeting and black ceilings. The aura here was that of anger, agitation, and malice. I immediately felt something watching me, so I turned back and exited the level and continued my downward spiral.
Each step down was another bit of effort that drained me. The further down I spiraled, the more exhausted I became. Determined to know what was at the very bottom of Chambeau 137, I kept going, neglecting my decaying energy.
When I made it to basement level -111, I decided to rest. I stepped through the door and found the level of empty offices to be in a derelict state. The rooms were dank, musty, and the walls were made of mirrors that were dirty and broken, with some of the shards of glass scattered on the peeling floors. I could feel my own reflection watching me with a hateful gaze. Only about a third of the fluorescent lights were functioning, some flickering, and the unlit shadowy spots made me uneasy. The energy was too sinister, and so I exited the floor and continued my descent.
Only 26 more basement levels to descend. Almost there. Huffing and puffing, I was out of breath and exhausted, each step down draining my energy ever more.
Finally. Basement level -137. I had made it. The bottom of the spiral stairs ended on a rocky floor, and the floor was also rocky. Chambeau 137 had a literal rock bottom. How cute.
The door to the level was rusty, and it squeaked as I pulled it open. The empty office rooms on this level were all comprised of black slate rock, and the rooms felt claustrophobic and confining. Very few lights were working down here, and I rapidly felt a sense of despair and hopelessness in the shadowy space.
I wandered through several rooms, but the feelings of deep depression sank in so much and so rapidly that I decided to exit and head up. When I came to the floor exit door, I noticed a narrow stone staircase that led even further down into blackness. What was beneath the bottom of Chambeau 137?
My dumb depressed ass went down to investigate.
I had a little flash light with me, but it didn't do much good in way of illumination. With weary caution, I took one step at a time, clinging to the cold stone wall with one hand.
As I stepped further down below the bottom, I could begin to hear an eerie, echoey howl coming from further down. Unnerved, I could only feel an extreme sense of despair and emptiness. The stairs suddenly ended, and I stood frozen before an endless and empty void of pure cosmic hollowness and dread. The echoey howl of the black nothingness invited me to jump into it, ending my existence of misery, isolation and despair.
NOOOPE. No. Hell no. Nope. Nopity nope-nope McNoperston.
Pulling myself back from the brink, I skedaddled back up the stairs and out the floor exit. In a panic and paranoid, I rapidly pushed the elevator button. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of the elevator, I realized that my childhood fear of the dark had returned to me down here. I had been here before.
After several long moments of intense anxiety, the elevator door dinged and opened before me. It was time to ascend.
~~~~~~~~~~
Upon stepping into the elevator, I immediately began to get a sense of relief. I had literally hit rock bottom, and now it was time to rest and head to the top of Chambeau 137. However, I decided to explore a few floors before reaching the very top, so I pressed "+85", the positive 85th level.
As the elevator ascended to floor 85, my negative emotions and energy I had felt dissipated, and I began to feel more like myself. It took several moments for the lift to reach +85.
Once I arrived on 85, I found that the empty office rooms were a light green color, which was the inverse of the blood red rooms on the negative 85th level. Down there, the energy had been angry, but up here, the energy was peaceful and calm.
Feeling safe up here, I wandered around to see if I could find any anomalous rooms that may have passages to other dimensions.
Then... UH-OH! I suddenly realized I had to poop. It occurred to me I hadn't come across any bathrooms at all in the extradimensional Chambeau 137.
In a bit of a panic, I began looking for a bathroom. Each floor contained over 18,000 rooms, so I grew worried that it might take a long time to find one, if bathrooms even existed in this dimension.
After making my way through roughly a couple dozen nearly identical empty office rooms, I was delighted to find a bathroom. To my surprise, the water also worked! PLOP-PLOP. FIZZ-FIZZ. What a relief it was.
There was a drinking fountain next to the bathrooms. When I drank the water, I found that it had a strange almond taste to it. The "almond water" was refreshing.
I found my way back to the floor exit, got back in the elevator, and ascended to floor 111. If floor 85 was the opposite of it's negative value, was that the case with 111 as well? I wanted to test that theory and find out.
When I reached floor 111, my theory proved correct. Floor 111 was also made of mirrors, but everything was intact and not in a state of disrepair. All the rooms were well-lit and sparkling clean, with a propitious energy. I exited the floor feeling optimistic, and took the elevator to ascend to the very top, floor 137.
The elevator doors opened to reveal a glass atrium that had a view of dreamy, puffy clouds outside. The door was solid white and shiny, and it opened smoothly. The office walls were a light sky blue color with white puffy cloud patterns and the floors were made of a shiny white marble. The ceilings were plain white, but instead of fluorescent lighting, there were large skylights. Apparently, it was always naturally lit up here.
I wandered around the rooms, amazed by the strangely beautiful sky offices.
When I returned to the floor exit, I found a hidden stairway that went upward, the opposite of what I had found down on -137. Up here, the stairs were well-lit and I felt certain about going up. The stairs led to a sky-blue door that opened out onto the roof of Chambeau 137!
The roof was a giant flat concrete surface with skylights all over the place. The staircase was next to one of the edges of the complex, so I peered over the ledge. The only thing visible were concrete walls that disappeared down into an endless sea of clouds.
However, when I looked out into the sea of clouds that surrounded Chambeau 137, I could see other monolithic concrete skyscrapers protruding from the cloud sea. Most had irregular shapes, each of their floors varying in size. So that must be what Chambeau 137 looked like from "the outside" as well.
So then... the sky was literally the limit at Chambeau 137. Excited about this, I wanted to show Katherine and Rebekah the top of Chambeau 137.
As I rode the elevator back down to floor 0, I thought about the 5+ million rooms there were within Chambeau 137, and how some of those led to other dimensions to explore.
Here at Chambeau 137, together we could either hit rock bottom or reach sky high. My future with Katherine and Rebekah would know no limits. Unlimited growth potential. Limitless shenanigans to be had and memories to be made.
Then I woke up. THE END.
