Carwash Continuum

Latent Lore

It was a fine midsummer day, and i was driving around the city in a red 1996 Dodge Avenger with white racing stripes. For whatever reason, I chose to go off roading in a random sunflower field on the edge of town. It had recently rained, so I was successful in muddying up my Avenger as I wove my way through the sunflowers, ruining the crop.

Needless to say, it was time for a carwash. However, I first had to go to work at the local zoo, where I operated a log flume ride that took you through the Australian Outback area. The ride took you past the kangaroo yard, an aviary, and the Tasmanian devil exhibit.

I was running late, so I sped through town. I got pulled over and ticketed for doing 55 in a 35 MPH zone.

The back window of my Avenger was caked in mud, so before I went in, I used my finger to make a reminder to myself, writing the words "warsh me".

Part of my ride operation job was to maintain the concrete river that the log boats floated down. Part of the river went through a tunnel, which needed regular maintenance work done on the mist effect machines.

My coworker, a gorgeous blue-eyed brunette named Emily, was busy operating the ride while I did my maintenance work. I waded through the river, the cool chlorinated water feeling refreshing on the toasty day. When I entered the tunnel, I saw something peculiar in the darkness. There was a narrow opening in the wall that was only a meter high and barely wide enough to squeeze through. The strange thing about it was that the gap was where the water pipes for the mist machines came from, but I had never seen the strange opening before.

Looking into the opening, what I saw unnerved me. The water pipes disappeared into a black void, and I could hear and feel a howling rush of air blow into my face. The gap hadn't been here before. Where did it come from? Where did it lead?

I went back to Emily and told her about it. We had been working together at the zoo for a while, and we had developed a "FWB" relationship over time. Today, after work, we planned to go to my place for some wildly hot and mind-blowing sex, but after I got my car "warshed" first.

"My sister Erika is doing a car wash fundraiser with her cheerleading squad today," suggested Emily.

~~~~~~~~
Emily had carpooled with another zoo employee, but I would take her home after we went to the car wash. The car wash was only about a mile from the zoo, so we arrived there minutes after we clocked out.
The car wash was on a corner of a busy intersection. The retro car wash had numerous self-serve bays, as well as a massive and odd-looking automated wash.
When we pulled in, there were around a dozen or so women, all in their early twenties, in hot-pink bikinis. They were all drenched, playfully squirting each other with hoses and squirt guns. A handful of them were busy scrubbing an orange Pontiac Firebird Formula.
Erika, who looked like Emily's identical twin, came up to us, and I rolled my window down.
"Do you want the full package, or just the pre-ejaculate? I mean presoak!" laughed Erika.
"Presoak warsh," I said, staring at Erika's cleavage. Up close, I noticed that her pink bikini top was made of bright pink sponges.
"You can have his full package later," laughed Emily to her sister, as she grabbed my junk.
I contributed all the cash I had in my wallet, and several babes got to work scrubbing away.
As if in slow motion, Erika and a handful of others squirted each other, lathered themselves up in soap suds, laughing and jumping around. Their jugs bounced around, and they pressed their pink sponge breasts up against the windows and made circular motions, scrubbing away. Squeaking sounds were made, with wonderous wet cleavage in our faces.
"Sponge-boobs!" I said, wide-eyed with amazement.
"They're not wearing pants, so... sponge-boob no-pants!" added Emily, grinning with pride at her clever wordplay.
Once the carwash chicks were done cleaning my red Dodge Avenger, it was time to pull into the self-serve bay so I could get a wax coating.
The bay seemed strange to me from the instant I pulled in. The floor was tiled with a black and white checkered pattern, and there were colorful neon lights randomly scattered along the walls. Along the back wall, there was a metallic sign on the wall that pointed to the right that read "To Wax Coat Bay". Oddly, the car wash bay continued around a corner.
"This doesn't seem right. Are we supposed to go in there?" I mumbled as I eased the car into the next section of the bay, making a hard right.
"This doesn't make sense," said Emily.
There were nozzle hoses attached to the wall, and there was plenty of space to park in the unusually oversized car bay. Backing out wouldn't be easy, unless... wait a minute. There seemed to be more car wash rooms ahead of us.
Confused, Emily and I got out of the car to look around.
The car wash seemed to continue on... and on... and on. All the rooms were wet with soapy water and puddles of wax solution on the checkered tile floors. The rooms were segmented, and it felt like a labyrinth.
The entrance to the next room from where we had parked was too small to fit a car through, so we simply walked around, exploring the strange car wash.
After several moments of confusion, we went back to the room with my Avenger. To our shock and horror, the open threshold we had come through was no longer there - it was now a blank concrete wall.
We were now trapped within a carwash continuum.
~~~~~~~~

"Now what do we do?" asked Emily in a shaky voice.

"Look for an exit," I said, trying to be strong for the both of us.

Unable to drive the Avenger any further, we abandoned it and made our way through the silent and endless car wash maze.

For the most part, it was well-lit, illuminated with colorful neon lights. The place smelled like car wax, soap, and chlorine. I found the clean scent somewhat soothing, and we got an exotic vibe from the strange lighting.

Most of the car wash rooms were nearly identical, apart from some subtle differences. Some of the rooms had no water hoses, while others had many. Some had various components you'd see in an automated car wash, such as those spinning thingy-ma-bobs.

The further in we went, the stranger things became. Some of the rooms suddenly had cars that were seemingly fused into the walls or floors, all of which were various shades of beige. We looked into a few of them, and they were all hollow shells, having no interiors at all.

Then, the rooms became increasingly more segmented, and now there were shallow pools in the floor, filled with soapy chlorinated water.

carwash pools

"Car pools!" said Emily with a fake smile on her face.

"Wanna go skinny dipping?" I said, trying to cheer her up.

Emily gazed at me, seemingly considering it. She sensually smiled at me, her big blue eyes sparkling, and she began to unbutton her tan zoo uniform shirt. She looked cute as hell in her zoo uniform, her short shorts exposing her toned, strong legs.

Just as I was starting to unbutton my tan uniform shirt, Emily vigorously grabbed my black belt and unbuckled it, loosening my tan cargo shorts. We were hot for each other, and it was time to get naked.

Suddenly, a faint exotic music began playing, startling us. The music was retro, seemingly a style of Vaporwave. With our tan zoo uniforms only half on, we held each other for a moment, taking in the sensual, exotic sounds.

"It's a mood," said Emily in a sultry tone, turning me on even more.

"Want me to... wax you?" I said with a grin.

"Wax every inch of me," Emily winked at me. "It'll take our mind off things for a moment."

"HEE HEE HEE HEE!" A shrieking laughter echoed through out the room. It sounded exactly like a laughing SpongeBob SquarePants, but with a sinister tone.

Emily and I jumped, our hearts skipping a beat.

"What the fuck was that!" nervously exclaimed Emily.

The two of us looked around, but saw nothing. The music remained playing, and we hastily rebuttoned our uniforms, ready to run at a moment's notice.

"HEE HEE HEE!!" The SpongeBob laugh sounded louder and closer.

"Time to get the hell outta here!" I said calmly, trying to be a rock for the both of us.

I took Emily's hand, and led her further and deeper into the carwash continuum. The rooms were now dimly lit, becoming increasingly dirty, grungy, with an overall sinister energy.

"HEE HEE HEE HEE!" The SpongeBob laugh now sounded like the entity was right next to us, as we entered a mostly empty room with a neon sign that read "Sponge Wash". We stopped cold in our tracks.

In a shady corner of the room, there was a sinister-looking SpongeBob SquarePants statue, seemingly staring at us, holding a mop, with a devious expression on it's face.

carwash spongebob

"SpongeBob" stood still, silent, and so did we. I could feel Emily trembling with terror, and I wanted to pee right then and there.

We stood our ground. No movement. Silence.

Several yards to the right of "SpongeBob" was a dark, narrow passage way that had a green "EXIT" sign above it. Hopeful, Emily and I slowly moved toward it, step by step.

The pupils of the SpongeBob statue's eyes seemed to follow us as we inched along toward the exit. We kept our eyes fixed on it, anticipating any sudden movements.

"HEE HEE HEE!" The shrieking laughter echoed, seemingly coming from "SpongeBob".

Emily and I squeezed into the passage, and we heard a squishy sound come from behind us. We looked back over our shoulders, and the SpongeBob statue was now peering into the narrow passage! It didn't move, but it was obviously watching us as we narrowly escaped into the pitch black passage.

~~~~~~~~
In a panic, Emily and I were in pitch black darkness.
"Do you have your keychain flashlight thingy?" I asked.
"Oh, yes!" Emily pulled out her utility keychain, which had a little flashlight attached to it. Although it didn't illuminate much, we could at least see a few feet ahead.
It seemed that were now in a maintenance tunnel of some kind, with various water pipes attached to the concrete walls. The narrow tunnel curved and doubled back a few times before it led us to an incline.
The slope led us upward, and now we could feel a rush of air blowing past us. Looking upward, we could see a faint light at the end of the tunnel. The narrow tunnel became even narrower, and I was going first, in case there were any dangers ahead of us.
The tunnel ended, and I squeezed through an opening into a familiar sight. Emily and I emerged into the tunnel of our log flume ride that we operated at the zoo!
Just as we came out of the opening, a log floated by with a family of four floating along in the ride. The screamed bloody murder, believing Emily and I were monsters emerging from the depths of hell. This was unsurprising, considering we looked disheveled and confused in the poorly lit tunnel.
~~~~~~~~

Emily and I exited the tunnel, which was next to the kangaroo yard in the Australian Outback area of the zoo. There, we saw a couple kangaroos humping while simultaneously hopping around. They were doing it like they do on the Discovery Channel, as if they were a couple of wild mammals or something.

"They're doing the whole Kangaroo Sutra!" declared Emily, glancing at me with her gorgeous side-eyes.

"Let's go to my place and try the Kangaroo Sutra," I whispered in Emily's ear, running my fingers through her soft, brown hair.

"What about your car?" inquired Emily with a smile, apparently enjoying my playing with her hair.

"It can wait," I said. "Let's go to my place and... play."

Apparently, love was in the air at the zoo. As we passed by the Dingo dog exhibit, there were a couple of Dingo dogs doing it... well... Dingo doggy style, giving Emily and I more ideas for later.

~~~~~~~~
Breathing heavy and cuddled under the covers together, Emily and I were tuckered out after doing Dingo doggy style and trying the whole Kangaroo Sutra.
"Erika is continuing her car wash fundraiser tomorrow," said Emily. "She said she wants to spend tomorrow evening with you."
"I'll go back there tomorrow," I said. "It'll be a good time to see if I can get my car back. I put a lot of time and effort into it."
~~~~~~~~

The next day, I had the day off, but Emily had to go in to work. I returned to the car wash, where I found Erika and her team scrubbing down an orange car with their sponge bikinis.

"Have you seen my car anywhere?" I asked.

Erika looked at me with a confused expression. "I thought you guys left after you did the waxing."

"Huh? We never left here yesterday," I said with confusion. "We got lost in there." I pointed to the car wash bay I had entered the day before.

"I swear, I know I saw you guys leave here yesterday." Erika seemed certain about it.

I walked into the car wash bay, but I did not see the strange opening I had driven through the previous day. Had the damn carwash continuum literally "eaten" my red 1996 Dodge Avenger? Would I ever get it back?

"Dude... where's my car!?" I calmly shouted from the car wash.
